lyrics
A stutter in my chest has put me to the test
I should find the time for a little piece of mind
These chemicals around might put me in the ground
Leaving you behind haunts me deep inside
When I leap through the door
Won't you see they're cared for
As quickly as he can, the boy becomes a man
I'm wondering if she will have memories of me
Stubborn and inert while headed for the dirt
The thought of you behind kills me every time
When I leap through the door
Won't you see they're cared for
As I leap through the door
Why wasn't I careful
It usually takes me about 2 years for an album to really grow on me. I'm still really into The Forgettable Truth, not so forgettable as it turns out. The track Where Are You Now made a quick impression on me though. Also like love is all around and a couple others. sky-glass
Hearing this was like discovering Desire, or London Calling for the first time. Derivative yet original, the songs are immediate and the melodies will get stuck in your ear for days. tideracer
The instrumental ensemble Dt/IG straddles the line between folk and classical, stirring acoustics augmented by sumptuous arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 29, 2023
Buoyant songs that summon the spirit of New Orleans, with beautifully bleary brass, light up the latest from Annabelle Chvostek Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 27, 2021
This is some great music for a morose, rainy day. Lush, sedate, bluesy, and with a certain apocalyptic flair, most evident on White Horses, which sounds very much like a psychedelic blues dirge.
I appreciate that the songs sometimes lose themselves along the way, giving way to some beautiful psych explorations. I also enjoy the vocals on this - they sometimes waver, but they fit the music so well. Smekermann
